Meet Harshit Jagtap

Harshit Manoj Jagtap is an author and historian whose deep love for Indian history shines through his work. Based in India, Harshit is passionate about exploring the heritage, philosophy, and courage that define the nation’s cultural identity. After the success of his debut book Sanatan Samhita, he returns with his latest work Hindvi Swarajya, a powerful tribute to the Maratha Empire and its legendary leaders.

“This is my second interview with you,” Harshit says with a smile. “My first was for Sanatan Samhita, and now I’m proud to share Hindvi Swarajya, a book that reflects my lifelong admiration for Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the values of discipline, unity, and patriotism.”

The Story Behind Hindvi Swarajya

Harshit’s newest release, Hindvi Swarajya, is written in both Hindi and Marathi. The book spans 108 pages and is available through his official website. It tells the story of the great Maratha Empire founded by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and also highlights the contributions of Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Chatrapati Rajaram Maharaj, Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj, and the Peshwas.

“This book was born from my respect for India’s glorious past,” Harshit explains. “It is not just about kings and wars it’s about leadership, honor, and the vision that built Hindvi Swarajya.”

Writing Habits and Process

Harshit’s dedication to his craft is evident in his routine. “I wrote 10 to 12 hours a day while working on this book,” he says. “Once I start writing, I lose track of time. I want my readers to feel the same energy and devotion that drove me to bring this story to life.”

Literary Influences

Harshit draws inspiration from several iconic Indian authors and historians, including Vasudev Sitaram Bende, Kavindra Parmanand, Babasaheb Purandare, Gajanan Bhaskar Mahendale, and Veer Savarkar. Their work on Indian history and cultural philosophy encouraged him to research deeply and present history with accuracy and emotion.

“These authors taught me that history isn’t just about remembering it’s about understanding our roots and carrying that knowledge forward,” he says.

What He’s Working On Now

Currently, Harshit is immersed in historical research for his next project. “I am studying more about India’s ancient civilization and historical figures,” he shares. “My goal is to continue writing books that educate readers about our history and inspire pride in our culture.”

Promoting His Work

Harshit promotes his books through social media, his personal website, and various online platforms. “The internet helps me reach a larger audience,” he says. “I want readers everywhere to have access to our country’s historical heritage.”

Advice for Aspiring Authors

His advice for new authors is simple but powerful: “Stay consistent and disciplined, and the results will come.” He believes that dedication and patience are the cornerstones of success, both in writing and in life.

The Best Advice He’s Ever Heard

Harshit credits his father for the best advice he has ever received: “Stay disciplined, do your work, and don’t worry about the result.”
This lesson, deeply rooted in the teachings of the Shreemad Bhagavad Gita, continues to guide him both as a writer and as a person.

What He’s Reading

At the moment, Harshit is reading Raja Shivchatrapati, Upanishads, Vedant, and Bhagavad Gita. Each of these texts helps him explore the spiritual and philosophical depth of India’s culture, which he channels into his writing.

What’s Next for Harshit Jagtap

Looking ahead, Harshit plans to write more books centered on Indian history. “My purpose as a writer is to serve the nation through knowledge,” he says. “By sharing these stories, I hope to remind people of the greatness that runs in our heritage.”

Books He Would Take to a Desert Island

If stranded on a desert island, Harshit says he would bring three timeless spiritual texts that continue to inspire him:

  • Bhagavad Gita
  • Upanishads
  • Vedant

“These books have the wisdom of life,” he says. “They guide me in every journey, whether personal or professional.”
